Tasting Notes The Isle of Raasay has a history of illicit distilling spanning centuries. But this handcrafted gin changed that as it was the first legal spirit created on the island. The recipe combines ten components including locally foraged juniper, sweet orange peel, lemon peel, rhubarb root and their very own triple-distilled spirit. Zesty and dry, it perfectly captures the rugged nature of its Hebridean home. We love the combination of the pine-like woodiness, the tangy rhubarb and the sweet citrus. It was bottled at 46%, which is our sweet spot for a gin and tonic. But it also makes an exceptional Martini, Negroni or any other classic cocktail you might care to think of. The Isle of Raasay can be found to the east of the Isle of Skye, and its modern distillery is impressing the experts. The award-winning author Dave Broom gushed, "This for me is really advanced whisky making, and it's a completely new way of thinking about Single Malt in Scotland."
